Celebrating the Anniversaries of Noteworthy GI Care Programs
JUNE 19, 2014 — On Thursday, May 29th, Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai Roosevelt celebrated the anniversaries of two significant milestones with an evening event held at The Esplanade on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The festivities commemorated two successful years since the opening of the Comprehensive GI Center for Aging, and the one-year anniversary of the Center for GI and Motility Disorders at UMPA at Esplanade Wellness Center. Both programs have significantly expanded care and treatment options for aging New Yorkers dealing with an array of GI disorders.
The Comprehensive GI Center for Aging was created to meet the needs of the aging community with GI disorders in NYC. At the launch of the program, the Center partnered with one long term care facility providing onsite specialized care. Due to the success of the program not only from the patient care standpoint but also from the quality outcomes, 2 additional Long Term Care Facilities have partnered with the Comprehensive GI Center for Aging. During the event, the leadership from Isabella Geriatric Center presented a letter of gratitude to Dr. Il J. Paik acknowledging the excellence in quality of care provided by The Comprehensive GI Center for Aging
