Iris House Honors Theresa Mack, MD MPH of Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice


Theresa Mack, MD, MPH  of Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice at 147th Street, is being honored by Iris House of NY/NJ for her remarkable efforts towards “Keeping the Vision on Women” in the day-to-day fight against HIV/AIDS. Dr. Mack will receive her award at the 10th Annual Women as the Face of AIDS Summit on May 4, 2015, at Bethel Gospel Assembly in Harlem.  

Iris House serves the needs of local residents living with HIV/AIDS and helps to spread awareness about disease prevention, especially to underserved populations. At this year’s Summit, Iris House will also be honoring: Angela Aidala, PhD, Columbia University; Gina Brown, MD, NIH; Deloris Dockrey, MPH, The Hyacinth AIDS Foundation; Antionettea Etienne, Iris House; Debra Fraser-Howze, MPA, OraSure Technologies; Vanessa Johnson, JD, National Women and AIDS Collective; Claire Simon, New York State DoH and the Young Women of Color HIV/AIDS Coalition; Carmen Vazquez, MSEd, New York State AIDS Institute; and Linda Villarosa; City College of New York.

Dr. Mack is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, specializes in HIV/AIDS and primary care. She received her medical degree from the Universidad del Noreste School of Medicine and completed an  Internal Medicine Residency  at Mount Vernon Hospital   and a Nephrology fellowship at Metropolitan Hospital Center. She received her MPH from Columbia University
