Mount Sinai Physicians Named to New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors” list

New York Magazine’s 2014 list of “Best Doctors” appearing in the June 9th issue names 227 physicians from all seven hospitals in the Mount Sinai Hospital System, along with 36 doctors from Mount Sinai’s growing network of affiliated hospitals.

The 263 Mount Sinai physicians included on the “Best Doctors” list represent nearly one quarter of the 1,198 doctors recognized. This prestigious tally reflects the innovative research and world-class clinical care that Mount Sinai is renowned for and that inspire physicians who are experts in their fields to choose and stay with Mount Sinai.

From Mount Sinai’s Department of Medicine, 48 full-time faculty and physicians in 13 different specialties made the list, including doctors from both Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai Roosevelt.

As one of the longest-running departments at Mount Sinai, the Department of Medicine has a history of providing excellent patient care in the field of general internal medicine, as well as several subspecialties including: cardiovascular, infectious, and gastrointestinal diseases; liver, kidney, and lung diseases; and diabetes and immune system disorders.

Many leading physicians from Mount Sinai’s Department of Medicine see patients through the Department’s outpatient clinical practice, University Medical Practice Associates. With nearly a dozen convenient locations, UMPA is one of the leading multispecialty group practices in Manhattan providing exceptional care to patients from throughout the Greater New York City area and beyond.
