SLR and UMPA Welcome New Members to Expanding Team of Talented Healthcare Providers
St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals (SLR) announce the addition of twelve new talented healthcare professionals to their expanding team of exceptional providers. With expertise in primary care and a wide range of specialty services, these board-certified physicians see patients at the Amsterdam Avenue and Tenth Avenue hospitals, as well as at various Manhattan locations through University Medical Practice Associates (UMPA), SLR’s faculty practice.
Prepared to meet the diverse healthcare needs of patients from the greater New York City area and beyond, Cynthia Feher, MD, and Hok S. Wong, DO, are primary care physicians with UMPA at 59th Street who bring to this established practice their world-class training in general internal medicine. They are joined here by Edgar Argulian, MD, MPH. Dr. Argulian, a cardiologist who completed his cardiology fellowship at SLR and participated in SLR’s Advanced Cardiac Admission Protocol program, is also currently active in SLR’s Heart Failure Program.
UMPA Specialty Center at Columbus Circle is pleased to welcome both Fulvia Milite, MD, a notable pulmonologist, and Aastha Pal, MD, a talented endocrinologist, to its team of medical experts. Dr. Milite treats patients suffering from a wide range of pulmonary ailments and sleep disorders. Dr. Pal, who provides vital care for diabetes, obesity, and other hormone-related maladies, is active at not only UMPA Specialty Center at Columbus Circle but also at UMPA at Amsterdam Avenue as well.
Shital Rana, DO, is the most recent geriatrist to join SLR’s Home Visit Program, which delivers primary and consultative care to frail and elderly Manhattan residents who are unable to travel for their medical appointments. For patients who are able to schedule at either St. Luke’s or Roosevelt Hospitals, the team of inpatient care professionals here has grown this past year to include an outstanding new group of primary care doctors and specialists. These new hospitalists are: Jean Abed, MD; Jose Luis Alcaraz, MD; Susannah L. Kurtz, MD; Andrea Natale, MD; Shelly Latte, MD; and Katherine Rutledge, MD.
