The Asthma Clinic helps people who have been diagnosed with asthma but who are not responding to treatment. Led by Mary O’Sullivan, MD, an experienced, board-certified pulmonologist, the clinical team studies various potential causes of difficult asthma cases, such as improper inhaler technique, wrong dosage of medication, environmental exposures and other factors.
The specialists at the clinic look for underlying medical problems that can trigger or aggravate asthma symptoms, such as heart burn, sinus disease and sleep apnea. In addition, the team performs diagnostic tests to confirm that the original asthma diagnosis is correct. For an appointment or more information, please contact the clinic, which is located on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
